Wild Food Plants

As i am doing some minor brush clearing to make paths I keep finding cool food plants.  I have found blackberries, blueberries, grapes and prickly pear cactus - those are the ones I am sure of.  I am very sure that there are a good number of other things I have yet to identify - like we seem to have a good number of persimmon trees and any number of mushrooms.

I just got verification that we also have Pawpaw plants http://plants.usda.gov/java/largeImage?imageID=asan6_001_avp.tif  http://florida.plantatlas.usf.edu/Plant.aspx?id=2579 --  there are a bunch of them scattered around

I think they all could use some tender loving care --- or at least a little cleaning up and lots of mulch!!

blueberry bush - there are a lot of these - not very sweet
lots and lots of vines - I have only found a few with actual grapes
these don't count as food -- but they are very cute
Asimina angustifolia -- SLIMLEAF PAWPAW
lots of blackberry plants - mostly small sparse fruit
pretty sure this is common persimmon.
